MARK ROOKE
As a co-founder of 'Live Like a Pro Footballer', I am thrilled to be part of this exciting venture.
Growing up in the North East of England, I have spent over 30 years immersed in football taking on various roles including playing, coaching, managing, scouting and running football clubs. Throughout this journey I have had the privilege of coaching hundreds of players, many of whom have progressed to professional football academies, with a significant number now under contract at Premier League clubs.
My transition from playing to the non-playing side of the game was prompted by a career-ending knee injury at 19 while on trial at a professional club. Despite this setback, my passion for football has remained unwavering and my diverse experiences have equipped me with valuable insights that I believe will greatly benefit our collective journey at Live Like A Pro Footballer. Having coached and toured with teams internationally, I have always maintained that the UK is the true home of football, or "soccer" as it is known in some parts of the world.
At Live Like A Pro Footballer our goal is to offer an unprecedented experience for players outside the professional game, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience the day-to-day life of a professional footballer. Having been involved in various football-related businesses over the years this is the venture I am most excited about and we eagerly look forward to sharing this journey with you.
LEWIS BURNS
As a co-founder of ‘Live Like a Pro Footballer’, I bring a wealth of experience to the business gained from working within the professional football industry.
Having played football throughout my life, I’ve played in numerous professional academies and represented England Boys - winning the prestigious 4 Nations Tournament.
My career has taken me around the world, managing teams in Australia, America and England where I’ve developed a keen understanding of international football dynamics. As a licensed scout I’ve played an instrumental role in identifying and placing players in professional teams, helping them secure professional contracts and advance their careers. My diverse experience has given me a unique perspective on both the business and sporting sides of the football world. My primary goal is to help as many football players as possible break into professional academies and with the extensive network and contacts that both Mark and I have developed over the years, we are exceptionally well-positioned to do so. Through our experience and connections within the industry we can provide players with the guidance, opportunities, and exposure they need to progress to the next level of their football careers.
